Steve is an independent academic & business consultant who teaches Research Philosophy & Qualitative Research Methods at masters and doctoral level.  He also teaches Creative Thinking for Managers and Strategic Management at universities the in the north of England, UK.  He is a Professor at Robert Kennedy College in Zurich, Switzerland, where he supervises masters dissertations.  His international teaching experience has taken him to Europe, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Vietnam & Singapore. 

In a consultancy role, Steve has advised a number of organisations in the UK, helping them to better understand the strategic importance & value of their corporate knowledge, intellectual capital & organisational intelligence.   

Steve is currently supervising 2 doctoral students who are researching: "Cultural Issues of HRM in Multinational Organisations" nad "Electronic Patient Health Records: A UK Perspective".  He has 6 successful doctoral completions to date. 

Steve's current research interests are in the areas of Strategic Issues for Social Housing, Higher Education Management Pedagogy for International Postgraduate Students and Aligning Information & Knowledge Strategy with Business Strategy. This latter area builds on his research degree work in the area of ‘Impact of IT on the Workforce’.  Steve has presented his work in the UK, Europe, Asia and the USA & has written a number of international conference papers, book chapters, learned journal articles & monographs relating to his research over the last 25+ years.  Steve chaired a conference on ‘Ethics, ICT & Social Exclusion’ & sits on the Organising Committee for a number of International Conferences, including the Annual European Conference on Research Methods for Business & Management and the European Conference on Social Media.  He is an Associate Editor for the Journal of the World Universities Forum & an Associate Editor for Organizational Cultures: An International Journal. 

Steve has worked as an External Examiner & Academic Advisor at a number of different universities in the UK & the Gulf region over the last 25 years.  He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
